Dr. Powers holds a special passion in his heart and practice for helping diabetics gain control of their diabetes and live a healthier life. It was Dr. Powers who
discovered his own mother’s diabetes almost 15 years ago through an eye exam. She had no health issues or any signs of diabetes but that exam
verified she not only had diabetes but also diabetic retinopathy and was in danger of losing her vision. Her struggles with diabetes inspired Dr. Powers
to dedicate his life and practice to helping those with diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration keep their vision and live a healthy life.
The Healthy Vision Institute offers same day and emergency treatment with 24 hour technician answered phone service. We understand today’s medical
costs and make available financial aid programs, grants and foundations with over $1 Million awarded to our patients to help pay for their eye exams.
